Monolith Pouring Vessel

This project explores form, emotion, and functionality through the design of a sculptural pouring vessel. Inspired by the themes of stoicism and serenity, the form emphasizes calm, monolithic geometry and subtle surface transitions. The vessel was developed through iterative sketching and mood-board exploration, followed by a series of progressively refined prototypes.
result.
Using XPS foam prototyping, multiple physical models were carved and evaluated to refine ergonomics, balance, and the pouring experience. The final design features a clean, integrated notch that controls the flow of liquid while maintaining the object’s minimal silhouette. The result is a vessel that balances expressive form with practical usability, highlighting the relationship between emotional design language and physical interaction.
